A Different Kind of Dentistry
Katy Trail Dental, the practice of Dr. Dominique Fufidio, is not your average Dallas dental office. Yes, we offer everything you’d expect from a general and cosmetic dentist's office, but our passionate focus on personalized care and patient comfort sets us apart — and helps our patients to feel at ease — whether they are here for a checkup or a root canal.
We’re not just passionate about teeth. (Yes, we admit that we love teeth.) We’re also passionate about people. To us, providing an experience that brings a smile to your face is just as important as making sure your smile is healthy and beautiful.
Dominique Fufidio, DDS, FAGD ("Fa-Fid-E-O")
Doctor of Dental Surgery, Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry
Dentist / Owner
Dr. Dominique Fufidio relocated to Texas from New York in 2012, when she accepted an offer to attend the prestigious Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Baylor’s School of Dental Medicine in Dallas. Preferring the warmth of Texas charm over New York winters, Dominique chose to make Dallas her home.
Before, during and after her residency, Dr. Fufidio constantly strove to increase her knowledge through continuing education, seminars and practical work experience. She’s learned an immense amount about dentistry in a relatively short time, setting herself apart from her peers. She is a recipient of the Fellowship Award with the Academy of General Dentistry (a prestigious award presented to less than 5% of dentists), is an active member of numerous dental societies including the Dallas County Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and their Texas branches; the Texas Academy of General Dentistry and Texas Dental Association. She is an active participant in multiple community and networking groups from Dallas Women Entrepreneurs to the National Association of Professional Women, serves as an attendee of a local, monthly, CEO Roundtable. Dr. Fufidio serves as a peer reviewer for the Academy of General Dentistry's print publications.
Dr. Fufidio is sedation certified and Invisalign© trained and offers dental implants, root canals, extractions including wisdom teeth, pediatric dentistry, dentures and sleep appliances. She and her office staff pride themselves on excellence in dentistry, patient comfort and customer service.
Outside the office Dr. Fufidio is a nationally ranked competitive weightlifter (she may be little — but she’s tough), weightlifting Coach, former gymnast, cyclist and yogi, loyal friend, and a loving daughter, sister, dog momma and wife.

We are pleased to welcome Emily to our Dental Home! Emily was born and raised in East Texas where her HUGE, close-knit, family still resides. Emily’s mother has 7 siblings and she herself has two older (protective) brothers that all live in Tyler, TX. In 2013 Emily relocated to Dallas to pursue her Biology degree at UT Dallas with intentions of going to Dental School in the future. Her boyfriend, Vincent, who actually put Emily in touch with Dr. Fufidio (THANKS VINCENT! WE OWE YOU ONE!!) relocated shortly after. While studying Emily was working out and working at Equinox when she fell into a part time position there, then a Nanny position, waitressed at the local Vietnamese restaurant and then fell into an Office Manager Position in a dental office all through her contacts at Equinox. She is a little go-getter and social butterfly for sure. It was about 2 years ago Emily took the plunge and pursued Dental Office Management full time. Currently she plans to go back to school for Business although secretly she still aspires to pursue a modeling career (We just can’t tell Dad!).
Emily is a wealth of information and a breath of fresh air at KTD. With her free time she enjoys visiting home more often, working out, traveling to new places, shopping and fashion, loves her essential oils and eating all kinds of foods. Welcome Emily! We adore you and are happy to have you!
Jessica Hernandez, RDA
Our Chairside Registered Dental Assistant
We are thrilled to welcome the experienced and organized Ms. Jessica to our team! This born and raised Dallasite started dental assisting in 2007 when she walked into the office where her childhood friend Carina was working. Carina’s boss offered Jessica a job and since that moment Jessica immersed herself in everything dental. She has been working for a handful of offices looking for the right fit and after the birth of her now four year old daughter, Melissa, Jessica considered returning to school for dental hygiene. But, since joining Katy Trail Dental, we have been able to involve Jessica heavily in our hygiene department and protocols. Jessica is beyond thrilled again to be dental assisting and it's a good thing because Dr. Fufidio and Jessica do truly make an incredible team!
Outside the office Jessica can be found swinging her hips at a concert with her husband of 5 years, Jose Luis, or spending time with the very extended family. Jessica and Jose have an extensive Dallas based family consisting of mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews galore! The weekends and holidays become big family To Do’s at either Jessica’s mother’s house or her sister-in-law’s. The Hernandez family loves watching football and baseball. It’s no surprise they can be found rooting for the Rangers and Cowboys. Jessica absolutely loves authentic Mexican cuisine so the hardest question you can ask her is, “So what’s the best taco joint in Dallas?” If she has to answer, she will say Fito’s in Oak Cliff but she has many others she goes to when she is craving a very specific type of taco! Welcome to the team Jessica. Bienvenidos!
Business ADMINISTRATOR and Hygiene appointment secretary
Born in Kansas and having moved from place to place, this Navy child has moved around a lot! She has even toured carriers and submarines (so cool!). Most recently Ms. Madison finished up schooling in Oklahoma at OSU where she studied engineering, biochemistry and molecular biology with a focus on pre-medicine. Once her degree was completed Madison moved to Oklahoma City and furthered her education in the fields of Sports Nutrition, personal training and fitness. In her early twenties she even started her own business. She is pretty remarkable if you ask us! Madison soon met her boyfriend, Tim, and then followed him to Dallas shortly after his move to the area. In Dallas, Madison and Tim both met Dr. Fufidio at their gym and Madison and Dr. Fufidio bonded over their shared interests. Soon after Dr. Fufidio offered Madison a position in our growing office.
Madison had no prior dental experience but would have all of you fooled. This quicker learner and young genius has assimilated well into our practice and is the link we didn't know we were missing. Ms. Madison can be found in our reception area helping greet our patients or in the operatories helping keep the office flow.
Outside the office (and outside the gym), Madison loves being outdoors, loves rock climbing and coaching CrossFit. She is currently applying to Physical Therapy schools and will undoubtedly have the pick of her schools for admission this Summer, 2018. We will miss her at KTD but atleast Dr. Fufidio and Madison will still be able to lift weights together!
Oralia Galicia, RDH ("Or-Rail-Ya")
Our Registered Dental Hygienist
Oralia is the newest addition to the KTD team. Originally from Brownsville, Texas this Dallas based hygienist moved here from Midland a couple years ago also following a boyfriend, although she admits it was also time for a change from West Texas small town living. Oralia is extremely talented and we spotted this promptly. Oralia comes with 11 years of prior dental experience as a very capable dental assistant. After being in dentistry for so long the natural progress for a dental assistant is to further their education by returning to school for hygiene education, so that is what Oralia did!
Recently released from hygiene school captivity this smiling hygienist is eager to put her new found education and skill set to good use. Recently her talent has being displayed at Katy Trail. Originally we brought Oralia in to the office for a working interview but after every patient gave her two thumbs up we couldn't let her go! As we continue to grow Oralia plans to spend more and more time with us and has offered us the flexibility to allow us to grow organically. She demonstrates patience in waiting for us as she knows a good office is hard to come by and worth the wait. We also know a talented and eager hygienist that comes with a great personality and likeability isn't easy to find so we are working hard to make Katy Trail a permenant home for her. Thank you for your patience Oralia. We absolutely love having you here!
